A key addition to aycan workstation is ayDCE (Dynamic Contrast Enhancement), a tool for evaluation of (dynamic) perfusion scans in a diagnostic read setting. It is becoming an increasingly important tool for analysis such as in the evaluation of MRI perfusion of the prostate. The plug-in provides all the necessary functions for time-based, visual processing of relevant voxel values.
The new 3D ROI tool allows the marking of a lesion in the image stack in addition to the traditional 2D slice. A circle is propagated as a three-dimensional ROI through the layers of the stack and provides the peak mean and the ISO-Contour minimum, maximum and average values of all voxels.
In addition to the existing 1:1 quadrant zoom image display option, ayHangingProtocols has been extended to allow a more flexible configuration. Quadrant zoom can be configured for dynamic division of the screen in order to avoid too many quadrants.
The entire Hanging Protocols engine has been improved to provide faster loading of large volumes and extended multiviewer tools. Capabilities such as reslicing, cutlines, playback controls, etc., have now been included in the multiviewer.
See 4D statistics in comparison to the position of the mouse in real time. Select the desired display option: maximum slope, area under the curve, or time to maximum and the graph updates in real time. You can additionally select a new background color of white, black, or any gray level in between.
Finally you can easily integrate Dragon Dictate 5 into ayReport or your RIS. The optional plug-in ayTranscription captures the text output of Dragon and places it directly into your findings window. Now you can select your result field and dictate without impeding any viewer controls.
The number of incoming patient media (CDs, etc) is increasing and a better way to manage them is needed. The IHE PDI profile offers a standard to ensure media is vendor agnostic. aycan workstation meets all requirements as a portable media importer, image display, report reader, and DICOM print composer.
